.Quick start, Pair phone to car BT, if not done yet. If your phone already paired, set, via phone BT settings, media audio off, so you can hear the speed in the phone speaker.(media vol up) If media audio on, will hear it in the car speaker, if phone media selected from your car menu, but won't hear speed updates if listen to radio.

install and run app,
on main screen set use Charger or use BTooth or Always on, set Miles Km Knots.
a few seconds later should see (Route log service started) msg on phone, also if change charger or BT settings . Close app, will see log service started msg again, phone can be left with screen off now.
Goto car, place phone in window holder or built in car phone holder or other good location near window like passenger seat where can hear phone and get GPS. Plug in car charger if don't have Bluetooth connected and start car, will hear and see(if phone screen on) welcome msg, drive above 20mph and hear your speed every 30sec or more frequent, if accelerating/slowing. Stop car, disconnect charger or turn off radio or leave car, will get goodbye msg. Sometimes phone may need a restart if it wont reconnect to your cars BT. The app works in the background and will restart with a phone restart. Once setup, the app will work automatically with your car's BT or charger, just keep your phone with you.
Driving tip, Runway method:
to change lane into faster traffic, slow down in the current lane to build up a large gap you can accelerate into to match the speed of the lane you want. Caution, check mirrors twice before change to ensure traffic ahead has not slowed down.
